Pipedrive pricing: real costs and the right plan for your team
Pipedrive looks inexpensive at one seat, but the useful comparison is the annual bill for your whole sales team. The decisive plan boundaries are email sync and automation, lead generation, team controls, and security—not the length of the feature list.

The short answer
- Choose Lite if you need a clean pipeline and can keep email and follow-ups mostly manual.
- Choose Growth when email sync, tracking, automations, and nurturing sequences will replace routine admin.
- Choose Premium for lead generation, scoring, contracts, shared inboxes, and stronger team controls.
- Choose Ultimate only when security rules, sandbox testing, data enrichment, or extended support justify the premium.
Growth is the practical starting point for many active sales teams. Lite is materially cheaper, but the missing automation and full email sync can turn the price saving into recurring manual work.
Pipedrive plan prices
The prices below are per seat per month when billed annually. Pipedrive offers monthly billing too, but the annual rates make team-size comparisons easier. Taxes and optional add-ons are not included.
| Plan | Per seat/month | Annual cost per seat | Main reason to upgrade |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lite | $14 | $168 | Core lead, deal, contact, calendar, and pipeline management |
| Growth | $39 | $468 | Email sync and tracking, automations, sequences, and forecasts |
| Premium | $59 | $708 | LeadBooster, scoring, enrichment, contracts, and team controls |
| Ultimate | $79 | $948 | Advanced security, sandbox, more enrichment, and extended support |
What teams actually pay
Seat-based pricing compounds quickly. These totals multiply Pipedrive's published annual per-seat prices; they exclude tax, add-ons, top-ups, and discounts.
| Team size | Lite/year | Growth/year | Premium/year | Ultimate/year |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3 seats | $504 | $1,404 | $2,124 | $2,844 |
| 5 seats | $840 | $2,340 | $3,540 | $4,740 |
| 10 seats | $1,680 | $4,680 | $7,080 | $9,480 |
For a five-person team, moving from Lite to Growth adds $1,500 per year. The upgrade pays for itself only if synchronized email, sequences, forecasting, and automation save more than that amount of selling time or prevent enough missed follow-ups.
Where each upgrade becomes worthwhile
Lite: pipeline discipline without workflow automation
Lite covers the core CRM job: organizing leads, deals, contacts, activities, calendars, and pipelines. It also includes Pipedrive's real-time sales feed, AI-assisted report creation, data import, and access to more than 500 integrations. It fits a small team that wants one source of truth but does not need Pipedrive to run the follow-up process automatically.
Growth: the operational upgrade
Growth adds full email sync and tracking, workflow automations, nurturing sequences, subscription revenue tracking, forecasts, a meeting scheduler, and a contact timeline. This is the key upgrade when the CRM must reduce work rather than merely record it. Pipedrive currently lists limits of 50 automations and five sequences per company on Growth.
Premium: lead generation and team governance
Premium adds LeadBooster, custom scoring, company-data enrichment, multiple synchronized email accounts, a shared team inbox, contracts, e-signatures, formula fields, and more granular permissions. Smart Docs and Projects are also included on Premium and Ultimate. The plan makes the most sense when several sellers share processes and the CRM needs to enforce data quality, routing, and visibility.
Ultimate: controlled change and stronger security
Ultimate adds security alerts and access rules, more phone and email enrichment, a sandbox for testing workflows, and longer phone-support hours. The sandbox can be valuable when a failed automation would affect a large live pipeline. Small teams without formal security or change-management requirements are unlikely to recover the extra $20 per seat each month.
Costs the headline price does not show
- Add-ons: LeadBooster, Projects, Campaigns, Web Visitors, and Smart Docs can add to the bill, although some are included on Premium and Ultimate.
- Top-ups: Pipedrive sells additional capacity for selected feature limits, which can be cheaper than upgrading but makes comparisons less obvious.
- Seat growth: model the team you expect in 12 months, including managers and operations users who need access.
- Implementation time: data cleanup, pipeline design, permissions, and automation testing are real costs even when the software trial is free.
Premium can be cheaper than assembling several add-ons on a lower plan, but only if you actually need the included tools. Build a requirement list first, then price the smallest plan that satisfies it.
What to test during the 14-day trial
- Import representative contacts and deals, including custom fields and ownership.
- Build your real pipeline stages and define the next activity expected at each stage.
- Connect email and verify how messages attach to contacts and deals.
- Create one automation for a high-frequency task such as assigning a lead or scheduling a follow-up.
- Reproduce the report your manager actually uses, not just the default dashboard.
- Price the chosen plan for every user who will need access after launch.
Decide before the trial starts what success looks like. A visually appealing pipeline is not enough; the test should prove that Pipedrive reduces missed actions, duplicate entry, or reporting time.
